Beti has left half of both her meals today. She's going into dark corners in the garden and digging up vet beds and throws. I knew what was going on, but checked the calendar anyway, yes, bang on time for a phantom pregnancy. She doesn't have any abdominal enlargement, but does have boobs .. bless her. She doesn't seem moody but has been a little quite around the house for the last few weeks.
I now have to seriously consider what happens next, the phantom pregnancies will get worse, but I cried in the field today just thinking about taking her to be spayed. I tried to comfort myself that lightening doesn't strike twice and all that, but the fear will be and is overwhelming. If I'm going to do it, it has to be soon, well before mid-October anyway!
