I have picked Minx as my pick of litter and she is definitely staying. Poor May did not stand out from the crowd, being a little slight and lacking in coat. Tinie T is short in body and a little stuffy in neck (I wonder where she gets that from? ..Thanks Grandad Kai !!!) but still very eye catching. And Maggie? Her front and colour are not her fortune but she's a lovely bitch.
Everyone knows that Tinie T has stolen my heart and as I believed Maggie to have more show potential than her I decided to use my head and keep Maggie as second choice over Tinie T. Decision made! (or so I thought!)
Last night there was a huge spanner thrown into the works! Mick and Karen came to visit, they own Robbi, the sire of the litter. They too immedietly pick out Minx as the best standard coat female and she was put to one side. Mick kept looking back at Tinie T and Maggie, (Again little May was dismissed for show potentia) and eventually decided he prefered Tinie T as he couldn't get over Maggie's straight front assembly and the slight peak in her back!
Maybe I should go with my originally decision, but maybe, with half an excuse from Mick I should let my heart rule my head like I did with Louis, and keep Tinie T. Let's face it, that was one of the best decisions I ever made. My head is all over the place, and when I think I've made the decision something else comes into my mind and I'm all in a quondry again. Truth of the matter is, I love Maggie too!
Making matters worse Steve added his tupence worth last night and said he though as May was much finer than the others then no one would want her. Well that had me in tears, dismissed as a show dog and now also classesd as not wanted, and all in the same day. I bawled my eyes out! Anyway of course that is not strickly true. If no one comes to give May a home of her own, she will always be wanted, loved and have a home here with us!
So who am I keeping? Minx and ..er..yum....Not sure yet!
The handsome fella in the middle is Tali's brother from the "F" litter. He's probably the most obedient Blanik dog I know as he and Pauline spend their spare time training and enhancing Kaiser's natural ability to learn.
Though I've no idea what noise has got them all twisting their heads it's great to see him sat here with his German Shepherd mates. (I know one of his friends is a corgi!)
Incidentally, The dog on the left of Kaiser is Sami Hypia's dog .... and No I didn't know who he was either!!! None football fans like me who want to know..Google him!!!
Jane has been reserved today. She will be travelling down to the South of England to live with Rowena and her husband. I first met Ro in around 1997 when her parents bought Heidi (Blanik Belinda) from us. Steve and I became good friends with Stan and Mikki and have kept in touch over the years. Sadly Heidi is no longer with us, but she was a star, loved by many in her hometown in Llandudno. I'm sure many there will remember her fancy dress walks along the prom in Llandudno ever Xmas morning.
Baby Jane today
This picture of Heidi haunts me as I firmly believed when I saw it that it was our Nikki. Never have I seen a bitch look so much like her mother.
I'm dead chuffed that Jane is also going to live with someone we already know...another one that I know will get the best of everything.
So just Tinie T and May now looking for their forever home!
Baby Sukie was a lucky lady yesterday, and yes I believe she is going to be very lucky. She was reserved by a lovely family who live near Shrewsbury. They have a 4 year old Samoyed bitch, a cat and a horse as well as 20 acres for her to play on. I think Steve and I may move in with her!!!
George Michael Official have just posted on Twitter that George has just made it official.... The hearbreaking "Where I Hope You Are Today" is to be released as a single.
George back doing what he does best ...Tissue boxes at the ready!!!
Come on where are you all? We need lots of visitors bearing gifts of newspaper, kitchen rolls, toys and treats ... and that's just for me and Steve!!! Seriously would love some friends to come and visit the pups now. They need to meet as many people as possible so they can be well socialised before they move on to their new homes in 3 weeks or so. Promise I'll make you a cuppa' tea, or I'll get Steve to make you a coffee!!!
During a 5 min break in the rain today we took the little one out into the garden for the first time...and they loved it. Sadly by the time the second lot were going out it was raining again so under the watchful eyes of mum and grandma they only had a few minutes to explore.
As usual I opened my big gob too soon... though nothing is confirmed I have today received three e.mails regarding the 2 fluffy girls. Let's hope something comes of them so I can feel comfortable that Sukie and Jane's future's are going to be safe, happy and secure! Sad though, someone could now be disappointed!
