WKC Critiques

I think the judges critiques for Welsh Kennel Club Ch.Show are very harsh indeed. To be fair mine got off lightly really but she has really slaughtered some animals, unnecessarily I felt. Just pure fault judging, such a shame she could not have balanced out some of her harsher points on some animals with positives ... after all every dog has it's virtues, and every owner loves his dog (Supposedly!) but there you go.
As I said I think mine got off lightly, and I do agree with some of her points.  Loki has a slightly light eye and that he's pushing the bounders for size. But no way does he toe in, is his croup flat, or are his ears too small, and in my eye he has super feet!
Headshot of Loki - Ears fitting perfectly I think!

Mikey's coat has become ruffled with age and he is a tad heavy ... as for the rest of it I don't know what to say ...
Sammi comes out of it the best I guess, but again I dispute the "flat" croup, though it is short. Slight curl in tail??? Hmm, I see the acceptable/desired "sabre curve tail," but I see no curl, do you? (Pics of Sammi and a GSD with a curly tail to compare)

"Stanley’s Lokean of Blanik, good head but ears could be a bit bigger to fit head proportions. Short upper arm but good lay of shoulder with a good front. Good back into a long flat croup. Going away was distracted so reviewed on move again & was OK but will need to watch this as it could affect positioning maybe additional roadwork would help in this area. Tended to toe in when coming toward. Steady movement on gaiting. Medium strength & again hope he doesn’t grow anymore at 11 months. Feet were flat & his eye colour could be deeper."

" Stanley’s Blanik Georgios, good head with good eyes, forward placed shoulders with steep upper arm. Good back into flat croup. Slightly wide away OK coming towards. Gait seemed slightly stilted, of good strength; just over medium size. 7 years. Fur a bit ruffled feet could be tighter & seemed to be carrying some weight but given his age can be forgiven. BV."

"1 Stanley’s Blanik Ivana, strong head, eye colour could be stronger but doesn’t detract too much. Short upper arm with good shoulder, wither height normal. Good back into croup quite flat in angle long from middle of body. Excellent away & back with a good steady gait. Medium strong & approaching top size. Slight curl in tail; tends to raise on movement"

Anyway here's a photo of little ears, Fatty and curly tail!!!
