Sunny Sunday
Kiri and Kai
Louis, Asha, Mikey, Tali and Finlay in the front
All I can say is thank God for the breeze today, or I guess I would have melted in a corner somewhere. The Dogs loved the ditches and puddles, at least they had a great way of keeping cool...I declined the offer to join them! To be honest it was still quite dull when we set off on the first walk, hence the gray sky, but by the time Kiri and Kai where going out someone really had turned the heating up!

Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
The 13th Annual White Tie & Tiara Ball
God what I would have given to have been there last night, well to see this performance anyway!
".....George Michael announced he will be playing a charity concert in London this November, in aid of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Sir Elton said: ‘George has been a patron of the Foundation since its inception and has been a much valued supporter over the years, as well as a dear friend.’
‘This is an incredible and generous gesture. I thank George from my heart for doing this. His is an amazing talent, and this is a fantastic gift he is making to people affected by HIV.’
The pair became close in the 1980s and famously sang Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me together at Live Aid in 1985. It was then a No1 for the pair in 1991 when it was released in aid of charity."

Be Prepared!
Louis' causing more unrest at the moment. Since the little shit won't eat yogurt now, (or anything with tree barks powder in it), I'll have to think of something else to help with the good bacteria in his digestive system.(Probiotics from the Health food shop maybe?!) He is still on Beta Senior with tinned chappie; how I wish he would have stuck to the GSD24, he did so well on that. But when Louis says "Yeuk...I'm not eating that!" He means it! I'm still adding lypex to his meals, and hoping it helps, too scared to try it without to be honest. The vet has decided to put him back on oxycare but only for a 2 week course this time. I must say, the weight has dropped off him again and sadly he looks awful, pretty much how he looked over Xmas and New Year...though he's still full of beans of course!!!

Home At Last
Poor Kiri Mac isn't half going through it this year. In February she had an operation to removed 3 large bits of plastic toy for her stomach, now in June 12 and a half year old Kiri has had to have another operation. This time she's had 3 teeth removed and a huge puss filled cavity cleaned out. The vet agrees that the medication she's been on since she was diagnosed with MMM in 2003 may well have contributed to her rotting teeth. (I've never had a dog with bad teeth before)Still this medication was needed and has kept her in good health for all these years.
The lump that Kiri had on the top of her shoulder had been there for about a couple of years. The vet regularly emptied it and cleaned it for her. After another vet attempted to do the same thing the lump started to look very angry, so it was decided that since she would be out for the count having her dental, the lump could be removed as well. We were extremely shocked to find such a huge scar, but the lump which to the eye was no bigger than a 50p was apparently very deep rooted.
Tomorrow Kiri will be going to the job centre to see if she can find a seasonal job to pay off her second vet bill of over £600 this year!!!

Damned if I do....Damned if I Don't?
...Kiri was crying in pain with her face this morning. The Vets have decided to keep her in, they will knock her out to find out what's going on. We know her teeth are awful and they are probably going to do a dental. No choice really, but we are both so scared of the side affects as she 12 and a half now. But at the end of the day, she's in pain and we need to do what's best for her in the long run. For the second time this year, I hope she has the strength to pull through....
Update -5pm
Kiri's just coming around. She's had 3 teeth removed, and there was a lot of pus in her jaw. They also removed the lump on her side which they are confident is nothing to worry about. We can phone back at 6.30pm but they doubt she'll be coming home tonight!

No Bears In The Woods...but..
If you go down to the woods today, You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down to the woods today, You'd better go in disguise
For Kaiser bear and Kiri McTav, Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the GSD's have their picnic
Kaiser Bear who's been good, Is sure of a treat today.
There's lots of marvellous things for Kiri to eat, And wonderful games for Kai to play
Beneath the trees where nobody sees, They'll hide and seek as long as they please
'If you go down to the woods today, You'd better not go alone
It's lovely down in the woods today, But safer to stay at home.
For Kaiser bear and Kiri McTav, Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the GSD's have their picnic.
