Royal Welsh

Super day for my guys at The Royal Welsh Premier Show today. Blanik Jeevana (Kaiah) 2nd in puppy, Lokean Of Blanik (Loki) 1st in Open Dog and Blanik Ivana (Sammi Belle) 1st in Open Bitch, BOB and Group 3. Thanks to judge Jacky Cutler. Thanks to Ian for handling Kaiah and his beloved Loki and thanks to Angela for taking Sammi in the challenge and group for me. The Angel sure had her halo on today, but sabotaged her brother in the challenge just by being there! Baby Kaiah was a little star and took everything in her stride, from the crowds to the horse jumping to the livestock and tannoy - so proud of her. Thanks Linda for the hundreds of photos and almost as many laughs!
Lots more to say .. but it'll have to be tomorrow.

What A Night

Last night we had a club show in the training class, and my god what a night for Blanik. Loki was Best In Show, Asha out moved and out screamed everyone (including the youngsters) to go best Veteran and Baby Kaiah was Best Puppy In Show. Honestly there were other dogs of other breeds there! Wonderfully five of the classes were won by the clubs GSD's including Open bitch that was won by Bella, Loki's sister.
But I do need to have one moan .. where were the rest of the club members? The club gave this evening to the members for free. No entry fees and stunning rosettes, but still so many people didn't bother turning up. Why? Where were they? As we've said before - use it or loose it!
One of the highlights of my night - a little Frenchie called "Dave!" (and his camera shy owner)

Still No Decision

Trying to upload a small video - hope it works.
Sarah thought Teddy was a balanced puppy with free movement and without exaggerations. Her concern is lack of substance for his age and lack of coat. The substance I'm not too concerned about as that could be down to him being one of nine, we had it ourselves with Asha's large litter and Loki was also a small puppy being one of 10 - I think they soon catch up! Lack of coat is more a problem with glamour always being helpful in the show dog, and yes you can usually tell at this age if a dog will have a good coat, or not!
Anyway currently things are still at a stand still, at the moment Teddy only has one testicle. Early days I guess but we've had enough of looking for balls for one year!!!

Really Proud

Loki's page on the Kennel Club website has been amended to include his stud book number.
So Proud of the boy ..
"A Stud Book number is achieved when either a dog wins a Stud Book qualifying award at a Championship show or a dog obtains a Junior Warrant. It also qualifies a dog for Crufts for life. Stud Book numbers can also be achieved at Field Trials."

Not The Best Walking Weather

But they still love it.
A bit of water on the lens - Ooops.
Kaiah wouldn't stand still, had to make her lie down to get her to stay.

Just a bit of fun to prove I was there - haha
Thick mist, but still a nice photo

More Confusion

The bitch I had originally shown interest in has now had her litter.
2 Sable boys and what stunning colours.
I'm now scared of waiting and ending up with nothing .. or jumping in too soon and taking the wrong one.
What a bloody predicament!

Another Delay

Sarah was all set to go and see Teddy today or tomorrow but now there has been yet another delay. His breeders have something on on both days so now we need to re schedule again. I know it can't be helped but I'm on pins here, I just need to know whether it is him or do I need to start looking again. I so want it to be him, but I also need to be sensible. There is no point bringing him in unless he at least has some potential to make it into the ring and enhance on my breeding line. (which on paper he will do)
The breeders sent me a couple of photos last night, love his head and expression but it's quite hard to tell from the standing photos as they both look so different. But bless them for trying, it really is appreciated!
