Still No News
Remember these? Those on Facebook have been watching their weekly growth photos and they are now 4 weeks old. The whole litter is just stunning, not a "plain" puppy in sight. The owner and breeder of the dam have first and second pick from the litter so all I can do is wait and hope one of the sable boys will be available. It does look like the owner will be keeping a sable boy, and though I'm trying not to get my hopes up it's bloody hard not too!
Called Sable No 1 and Sable No 2 for identification, they are both stunning and I would be over the moon with either, but I must confess that from the beginning I've been drawn to sable No 2. He really does it for me. Anyway to save myself further heartache I'm trying to keep a distance, but it's bloody hard! I won't be writing about them again until I know one way or another ...Cross everything that one of these boys becomes available for me please.

There's A Rat In The Kitchen
Oh Ok, not in the kitchen, in the middle room. The joys of owning cats and having a car flap eh! We knew something was amiss as the dogs kept pulling at the carpet underneath the radiator. So being the coward I am I left Steve to investigate. The young rat legged it across the room away from the hoover ... and was immediately killed by a GSD. Nico or Jezi? My money is on Jezi. Anyway thanks cats, and I bet you it was Isla that caught it in the first place! I'm quite use to finding bodies or even bits of bodies in the room in the morning, but their lost prey is no fun!
It looks like I'll have to be more on the ball with Tali and her toileting. First time in 12 years she's had a poo on the carpet. I had let her out once, but it looks like she may now need to go out after her breakfast too. Talking of breakfast ... she's still not keen on eating in the morning so I guess I'll have to add fish to that meal now too. It's important she eats in the morning as she needs her steroid with food.
With the weather being appalling this morning I only took the dogs to the fields, they have fun and don't mind occasionally. I took Tali on her own at the end and she went all the way round .. in front of me! Tali being in front and not up to no good behind me is rare enough, but to find her regularly looking back to see I was coming was quite a shock. Her mobility is not much better, she's still lopsided and unsteady, but from what I've read of the recovery of some other bitches she's doing really well. (and I do mean bitches as apposed to dogs - strangely it seems to happen a lot more in bitches!)

Everybody Out
Jezi and Nico
Always together
Always together
Asha, Loki and Ziva
Ziva was at her wits end with Loki stealing her ball!
I Love this of mother and daughter in the buttercups.
Though it took a few attempts, with Sammi sitting beautifully and Kaiah rolling around squashing all the flowers, as she does!
After refusing breakfast and giving me a little scare Tali is feeling better this afternoon and has had 10 mins out in the field! Yeah her head is tilted and she's walking like she's had too many vodkas ... but she's doing pretty well really!

Change of Pills
Tali's steroids are being reduced today from 50mg to 25mg for 6 days, then they will be reduced further. I suppose she will be staying on vivitonin now, there has been no adverse affects on her stomach so far so I hope they can only be beneficial to her and maybe combining them with a low dose of steroids will give an even better quality of life.
Poor Tali does get in a tis as the vivitonin has to be given at least 30 mins before food. So first thing in the morning she gets a pill .. goes out for a wee and comes in expecting breakfast to be in her crate .. as it has been for 12 and a half years .. but it's not there and she's not impressed. When it arrives 30 mins later she just looks at it as if to say .. "well I don't want it now," but I walk away and then she eats it! I don't like watching her eat anyway as her head is tilted and she eats with one side of her mouth, it just looks so odd!
I took her out through the gate yesterday, she got to the caravan, had a wee and came back. I'll try again today, but the ball is in her court and I'll go by what she wants to do!

Sorry No Video
It just won't upload onto here.
Today Tali seems to have improved in some ways .. whilst probably not quite as good in other. She's a little more lopsided today, and a little wobbly, but hasn't fallen over yet at all. The problem is she's trying to go too fast for her body if you know what I mean. But as we all know Tali is a strong willed bitch and will do her own thing, I guess there is something to be said for being a determined head strong oldie isn't there! We are currently keeping her away from the others as you could knock her over with a feather but left to her own devices she's getting around quite well. Tali does seem very tired, but I think that rest and sleep can only be good for her.
We plod on and hope for continued improvement!

Tali
Update and Video of Tali on Facebook ...
Can't get it to load on here and too knackered to keep trying.
Lovely Show At Stafford
Nice day at Stafford & Birmingham Agricultural Show today with Ian and Linda. Sadly breed entries where numerically low .. but in it to win it I guess.
Due to there only being two of us and no available handlers we were unable to show all three dogs, but Sammi enjoyed her day out anyway!
Lokean of Blanik - Loki was BOB but unplaced in the group for the first time ever .. and Blanik Jeevana - Kaiah was BPIB and Puppy group 2. Thanks to breed judge John Lemon and Group judge Steve Myring .. his positive comments on Kaiah where very much appreciated.
