It Stayed Dry

Thankfully, a break in the weather. Though the sky was dark initially, we did end up with blue sky and sunshine.

Zeus was a handful today, no fault of his own, he just had a spring in his step and wanted to run, and he did despite me being at the end of the lead!

Orin makes me laugh, he won't go into the derelict building, but somehow managed to still make sure he got in the photo, not my doing... honest!

Orin And Cookie's Pups

Over the moon to be able to announce that Orin and Cookie's babies have arrived - 5 dogs and 3 bitches. Congratulation Cookie, Jen and Mark.

Junior is still picking at his food but I'm giving him sardines and chicken little and often. I was chatting to Sharon again last night and she said she still can't get over the fact that I found it. Excuse me if I repeat myself, he's skinny and needs grooming so it wasn't difficult to feel. What bothers me is that I didn't feel it the week before as I groomed him, and now I feel I can't miss it, he looks fuller than he ever has. So is it growing that bloody fast? After Mikey's lump I know how fast something sinister can grow and that scares me! Still, there is no point being an ostrich - face it we must!

Between The Showers

The baby gate has arrived, hopefully it will help defuse some tension between the brothers. I know the sun shines out of Orin's arse in my eyes, but to be fair, this tension is not down to him!

Nica

Huge congratulations to Delwyn and Nica today. (Orin and Arya daughter) On their first time in the ring together, not only did Nica win her puppy class but she went on to win Best Of Breed. Wow, well done at just 6 months old. Nothing in the groups, but she was there representing her breed, what a proud moment. Orin's first progeny, from his first litter, I'm over the moon, and I sure can see him in her head and expression here.

Twll Braich

This amazing photo came up in my Facebook memory today. The village of Fron, Our house, Llyn Cop (the small narrow lake) and of course the daunting Twll Braich so close to our home. (The big quarry hole) On the photo we are to the left of Twll Braich, should you zoom you can even see my yellow van as well as Frank and Linda's car.

As I was walking Zeus alone today I decide to walk him over to Twll Braich. If you look at the hole as if you are looking at a clock then he's standing on about 1.05 - lol.

You can see Plas Braich behind Zeus and our cottage appears to be at the foot of Mynydd Mawr to the right.

Only Two Photos

Today should have been our family Sunday lunch out to celebrate Steve's birthday. Instead, I had dry bread and stole Junior's chicken drumsticks. At around 5am Steve started to feel unwell. He was shivering with cold and felt hot to the touch. He managed to get back to sleep but has not eaten anything, is aching all over and has what he describes as a massive headache. To be honest, he's been asleep ever since and I can only hope that this is not covid part 3!

The rain seemed to have passed and I set out for my first walk - damn no phone I must have left it at home - no phone - no photos. OMG then the rain came, it hammered it down, it was even too much for my waterproofs. It had eased by the time I got home to swap shifts, there was no point in getting changed as these showers now came fast and furious. I mostly managed the next two walks in reasonably dry weather but the damaged was already done and I had to get changed when I was done.
