The Blanik bus made it from home to Windsor, then on to Richmond and back again. It runs so well, but with 184k on the clock, well it's time is ticking. The steering fluid was leaking, Steve filled it up before I left and gave me some more to fill it up again before I came home. Rupert had a look at it and was concerned it was leaking through/by the rack. (No Idea???) I've had the van over 6 years, it owes me nothing, but I can't afford to upgrade on it either.
So, "Garage Report On Blanik Bus." Small leak on rack, but that can be sorted, main leak coming from pump, been leaking onto fan belt which has started to rot, pump and belt will need changing. Van should not be used now till work done. There is also a lot of rust that needs dealing with underneath to get it through it's MOT in a months time. Well the choice is to cut my losses and try and find something cheap to run around in, or do the work and hope for another 12 months out of my lovely van ... so yeah no contest, the parts are being ordered, and it's going in next week, after all 184k or not, so far it's running like clockwork
