Nico's Studs

Last night I was talking to a knowledgeable friend in the breed who suggested I should reconsider removing Nico from stud. She said if he is fit well and wants to "perform" then there is no reason to remove him from stud until he is nearer 10. She said the only thing she does differently with an older male is to claim the stud fee at the birth of the puppies and not at the time of the mating. Yeah that sounds Ok doesn't it. I will give it some further thought!
