Mr Luther strikes again. The bloody idiot tried to catch the "So called" fly again last night ... luckily I caught him first time and it seems no harm was done this time. There is absolutely nothing I can do as regard to changing the fire, this pipe is red hot and the screw is necessary to keep it all together! All we can do is use the water spray on him as he does it so hopefully he'll blame touching the pipe for the water squirt and just stop, theoretically it makes sense.
Things are quieter here this morning. Nico is relaxed, but Loki continues to squeak. Kaiah's hatred of Loki when she's in season is fascinating. She really hates him with a passion, as Nikki did with Blade. I wonder why? Kaiah even gets wound up by his squeaking and responds aggressively to the sound. Ross is calm too this morning, he and Nico do seem to switch off quicker, it'll be days before Loki get's it.
I wonder where Kaiah's at today as regards to the progesterone levels. If she was 28 on Monday morning then she would probably be in the 32- 64 bracket from Monday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon. (that is optimal potential for breeding) We did notice that Nico had turned down a notch yesterday evening and I guess that would make sense as she now goes towards the 90 ies and any ova are either fertilised or dying. There is still a chance of pregnancy during this time so keeping the boys away from her is paramount for at least a couple more days. (and yes two different fathers are possible in one litter) Today is day 23 and normally it's about day 25 before we attempt to put the dogs back with Kaiah. I know last time we were walking on day 27 ... with Loki too.
