Loki and I took the recycling down and walked the distance of the track, but cross-country. He was content to have been for a walk. On the way down I saw another of my neighbours. I told him he was just the man I was looking for, and I asked for an honest reply to my question. "Do my dogs or their noise offend or irritate you?" He was initially speechless and then went on to say how much he loved our dogs and when they bark there is either someone about or it's the "happy barks" as they're going out. I told him what had been sent to me, but he was not shocked. I gather from our conversation that he really dislikes "the" neighbour, well actually it's his neighbour, he is in the middle between us. I must admit he ranted a bit and also got emotional as he spoke of the dog that he has now lost. I'm so glad I asked him, as his reply has given me more reassurance, but I was upset when he told me that he had to listen to "the neighbours" old boy barking for hours throughout the day after he'd shut him in an outside shed whilst they were at work! I'm now going to be able to lay this to rest in my head, unless of course I hear from him again.
