I've always loved Penmorfa, my Nain (grandmother) lived there when we were kids and I always believed I would end up living there, but I never did.
First stop was Dolydd Garage, anyone who's been out with Beti knows that as soon as you lift the handbrake she kicks off ("we are here") ... and the man in the car next to me jumped. I explained what he'd heard and we exchanged humorous pleasantries.
I enjoyed my drive to Penmorfa where we parked up. After giving 4 cyclist time to get out of the way we walk down the path that leads down the foot of Alltwen (mountain) towards the hospital of the same name. We then walked down onto the main road for short period turning up through "Cae Crwn" (Round Field) and back up onto the Alltwen path. It was a lovely walk with beautiful Autumn colours on the mountain, my only observation was that walking downhill for so long was not great on the knee!!!
