When Loki stopped doing normal exercise his nails grew quickly. Because he had no feeling in his feet I let his nails grow a little longer than normal, My thoughts were that maybe having longer nails may protect his feet as he was dragging them a little. Well now there seem to have consequences to my actions. The quick has grown and I'm unable to now clip his nails back to a normal length. He obviously also has better feeling in his toes and now pulls his feet away as I cut his nails ... Damn! I think I got it wrong! Of course I insist on clipping them, but I guess he'll have to just wear them long .. like me!
