I was a little shocked when I measured Meerah this morning. OMG 43cms at 3 months, WOW, that is tall! Beti was 41cms and Siska 39 cms ... She is heavier than both too, but not dramatically at 12.6kg. Kaiah was 12.9kg at 13 weeks - a week before she was 3 months, but I have no measurement for her till 4 months when she was 49cms. Coincidentally, Kaiah (Bottom Picture) and Meerah were from small litters and were bigger pups. Hopefully things will balance out.
Meerah decided she didn't like the measuring stick, it's important that I get her used to it now. Food is the key with Meerah. I was really surprised how many of the young dogs didn't like it at the regional. Beti has had plenty of practice as a youngster so didn't give a damn, she was measured at 59cms on Sunday. I think I measured her last at 9 months, she was 58.9cms then. We have always observed how little they grow after 9 months, it's just muscle and maturity that gives the impression of greater size.
