Further Afield

Zeus and I had a wonderful time on a walk I've not done for years. I'm pleased to say that the retractable lead coped with his many attempts to chase sheep, but I think I'm now a bit broken!!! We walk cross-country from the Penygroes -Talysarn road towards Lon Ddwr in Llanllyfni. (Starting off close to Pant Du Vineyard) Another amazing Autumnal day, it'll be sad when the rain returns next week.

Earlier in the morning, I'd taken Beti and Ross down from the donkey field and done the circuit back up the bridal path. Another lovely walk. People are gobsmacked with everything I have here that I chose to go off the mountain some days, but with so much on my doorstep to explore, well I'd be stupid not too! Interestingly, two of the donkeys found Ross very annoying. They have never previously responded to my dogs barking in the van before the walk, but Ross has a distinctive sound and two of the donkeys came hammering it down the field braying and in what I considered to be an aggressive posture. Still, I don't know donkey body language, so maybe I'm wrong, but I'd have legged away from any animal coming towards me like that.
