Vaccination V Socialising

I hear one of the usual suspects has had a moan because I took an "unvaccinated puppy" to dog club. Well yeah I did, but my puppy should be well covered, she should have high immunity from her mothers milk. Vaccinating before 10 weeks is simply pointless. When referring to early vaccination, it clearly states on the leaflet given with the vaccination to vets "maternally derived passive antibodies interfere with the response to vaccination and a later vaccine should be given at 10 weeks or older, one vaccine give at 10+ weeks is sufficient to cover."  So why would I put more chemicals into her body than is necessary, particularly as there is evidence it can destroy the immunity?  As I said, Beti should be covered and of course pose no threat to the vaccinated dogs at club, the risk to her is so minimal and socialising at an early age is paramount.
I take my puppies out to see the world, of course I don't put them on the floor in the park, or on the high street, Beti even sat on a clean vet bed at dog club, but I do put them on the floor in friends and family's houses and gardens. The window of opportunity for socialising is so small, it was once believe to be up to 16 weeks, but more recent research shows it to be 12 weeks, or even less. At this early age their little brains are like sponges taking in everything. Orin was a lockdown puppy, but we still took him out as much as we could, Tesco car park, people's gardens, I even stood by the road with him in my arms so he could see the traffic. A careful new experience a day at this age sets them on the right track for life, sitting at home till after they are vaccinated is just pure craziness, in my opinion!
And today's adventure? ... I've not really thought about it yet!
