Yesterdy's Show

The Lexi alarm went off at 6.30am and the Blaniks broke into song. I screamed profanities at them, but the youngsters were not for settling again. Such a hot stuffy night after a hot, but successful day.
The camp set up was great. We managed to get a decent amount of shade between the 2 vans, pop up tent up and plenty of area to get out of the sun. There was no such luck in the ring and I felt sorry for the judges standing out there all day, they were not even provided with a parasol. I made sure my dogs were Ok and they even waited their turn wearing a wet towel!
Siska and Callan were in first and both did a fantastic job. They stood and move round really well, taking it all in their stride. Sadly moving up and down at the end of the class Siska blew it. The judge gave her three opportunities to get it right, but she didn't ... ah well she's just 6 months. The complements from the judge at the end left us buzzing, she said she should have easily been the class winner but as she didn't move correctly then, what could she do? She said "she is the best at "Blanik" since Aria and Dexi and had she been judging Crufts (she was suppose to do the breed this year- but it's cancelled) she would have found it hard to find anything to beat her." Wow high compliments indeed.
Orin was not as much her cup of tea and she said he was too square/high over the back end. Well we know his croup is not his fortune don't we! Still he showed fantastically well and looked a picture in the ring.

Very proud Blanik owner.
