Add To The Contract

I was discussing my concerns about the selling on of puppies with a friend last night. She too is equally worried and has suggested I add something like this to future contracts, "I understand that I/we will be in breach of contract should this dog be given or sold to any third party without the consent of the Breeder, which may result in legal proceedings against me/us." 

I suppose we can but try and protect our lovely puppies from unscrupulous individuals.
