.. and what a stunningly beautiful day, a day to treasure a day to be glad to be alive. As you gather I'm sure I'm not superstitious at all, well almost at all. (Knifes should never be crossed - comes from working in kitchens!) Today was just perfect weather for the likes of me. Warm, sunny and everywhere was stunning with blue skies, fluffy clouds, vividly green grass and trees and purple mountains, the heather's not quite gone over. Not even the abundance of dog walkers managed to dampen our spirits. To be fair most are respectful and keep a distance, only one dared cross my path .. twice!
The dogs were full of fun as on all walks I opted to brave the wild westies and walk the top path down over to Llyn Cop. Not a path I walk often as I really have an issue that these dogs are allowed to run free from their home and challenge dog walkers. Ross considered his options as the snapping snarling dirty white critters ran the gantlet along the bottom of the track. Ross, off the lead again got a gold star for his obedience and followed his family away from the dirty wee dogs. (Well it's a Scottish breed!) It may come over that I blame the dogs, I am frustrated with them, but I know full well that the owners are always to blame.
I took over 30 photos, 27 of which were good enough to publish. They are of course all on Facebook in the album "Autumn 2019." I do love Facebook so much, social media is exactly what you make of it. For me it's a place to share information and photos of the dogs and cats; a place to socialise with friends and family; to share a joke and a giggle; the best place to follow the GSD show world and a place of great learning. Of course it's abused by idiots .. that is always the case in life isn't it .. someone always lets the side down. I don't get twitter, I can't see how you can share the information and knowledge there in the same way. Though of course I loved it when George was using it but I only used it then when he was online .. I had a notification set to my phone when he posted. I've thought about him a lot the last few days ... moving on...
Steve and I finally got round to cutting up the vet beds this morning. What the hell would we do without vet beds? The dogs were so nosy and Kaiah watched every cut of the scissors as I cut out the carefully measure pieces, and Asha just lay in the middle of everything. After cutting up the bedding Steve went to make a cuppa and I sat and watched Sammi's halo slip. God she is so funny. She shredded the cardboard tube from inside the vet bed, yes I could have stopped her, but what the hell it was fun watching her!
