Caernarfon Canine Society
What a fantastic day to get the society back on the map. The best numerical entry the show has ever had and a great entry of GSD's, again numerically the best I've seen at a local show in years. Though the judge apparently has Norwegian Buhunds she really did seem to have a big interest in GSD's and talked to us all at length after the judging. Though I had entered Jezi in the grad class she came in season last Sunday and had to stay at home. Due to circumstances here I had decided to only stay at the show for the morning, but Mr Mikey had other plans and went Best Of  Breed, leaving me in quite a dilemma!
Being only 15 minutes away I decided to come home for a couple of hours and return for the afternoon judging. True to form my boy also won his "bred by exhibitor" class and we then stayed for BIS. Almost sabotaged by "that" Boxer exhibitor and his flying liver (yes I still love you Ger) I changed places in the ring... Mikey was shortlisted into the last eight ... but sadly that's as far as we got. Still very proud of my boy and a great start to 2014 showing!
During the lunch break Angela came home with me to meet Sammi. After a huge greeting and some "crocodile" behavior we took her out of the yard and had some photos taken by the caravan. Lovely, great photos in stance and Sammi played enthusiastically in the grass thinking hard before deciding in was in her interest  to come back in with us.
Later in the afternoon, Steve was watching TV with the door open. Sammi was in and out and under the supervision of the "girls!" Suddenly Ziva ran in, Steve said she circled a couple of times in front of him and ran back to the door, he thought little of it until she did it a second time. He felt something was wrong and followed her out. Guess what ... No puppy!
Tali and Asha where still standing by the fence, watching ... the little shit had returned to play by the caravan! He got her in and came to the conclusion she must have pushed out under the fence, he made it puppy proof and came in ... seconds later an upset Ziva came back in .... Sammi had got out again, returning to the same place to play in the grass. He was not falling for it this time and after bringing her in he watched as she pushed through the side of the fence! "Easy peasy it was!"... Not any more Sammi .... I guess we wait now till she finds the next escape route!
