Panic ... But Only From Us!

Yesterday evening a little black flash of trouble ran into the living room through the large group of dogs and confidently jumped onto the sofa where Ziva and Jamie were sleeping. It caused great excitement and I grabbed him and put him up on the back of the chair. Steve was all ready to take him out but I suggested we leave him and supervise, we knew this would happen sooner than later, this is no Perry. (Who still won't come into the living room unless it's Nico and Jezi in here!)
I must admit I don't think Luther quite realised there were so many of them here, it must have been initially daunting as he sat still for all of 5 mins! I used a water spray to keep the dogs back so he could settle, but it didn't work as he jumped about onto the fireplace and mantel piece, and back again, oh and then he went to see the fish. I'm not saying it was a bad introduction, it sure wasn't but a little caution from him would have been better. If Luther had sat still for a while all the dogs would have lost interest in him being there, as it was Kaiah was over excited and it was hard to get her not to focus on him. I have to say, everyone else was excellent, Ross was amazing and went to sit on the sofa, and Ziva just settled down ... she's seen it all before and too many times she says! (Only Jamie is older than her ... and Asha is older than Jamie!)
So extra caution necessary now, I'm not saying these dogs would intentionally hurt him but his quick actions and over confident nature warrant some observation and extra care. If only he'd sit still or sleep then they would just get use to him being just another cat!
