Quote Of The Day

A classic from Linda Lawton "She's going too far!"
Well what the feck am I suppose to do when a partially sighted, partially deaf old dog decides she's going to swim across a lake after a duck? And let me point out Mrs Lawton .. you're the one that can swim! Yes Tali has officially won gold for the veteran Olympic swim today! Thankfully no ducks where injured during her exploits, to give the adorable little family some peace Blaniks will now have to stay away from this side of the lake and the reeds where they were hiding. Though I can't help but worry about them as there are so many other dogs walked down there.
Though it was scary and upsetting, as I really thought at times that Tali was going to get hold of the mother duck,  it was also fascinating to see how clever the mother was luring Tali away from her young. And after some scary moments it was lovely to see the family back together again.
To be fair to Tali she wasn't the only one who went in for the chase, Ziva and Asha went it too. Ziva immediately listening, returning and laying still on the bank for me. Asha wasn't as obedient but still I guess did well. Once on the bank she also stayed there as her mother took off across the lake. It wasn't until the duck turned back our way and Tali saw me that I was able to get her attention and get her out of the lake. Tali's hearing is pretty poor now, we know that by how many times she's recently been caught in the bins! Steve was able to get right up behind her without her knowing he was there. So yeah, poor hearing, poor eyesight ... and of course just a bit of Tali determination!
Asha found Lexi's ball ... but lost it again during the duck saga!
