"I always feel like somebody's watching me!"

Perry And Snowdrops In Bont Fechan

We are home now, The Doggy Doctor said it's likely something Perry was murdering fought back and bit him. He has an infection in his foot. Antibiotics and anti inflammatory it is then.  He's now back in bed but knowing cats he'll soon be out hunting again.
On route to the vets I decided to take double trouble to Bont Fechan - I so wanted to see the snowdrops in the woodland and they didn't disappoint. Lots of photos on Facebook.
I walked along the river and in taking this very photo I slipped down a bank on my knees. Now I nearly always wear my waterproofs .. but with such lovely weather I hadn't put them on. Later I must have looked great with muddy knees at the vets!
We found the bench - only the second time ever that we've found it.

Now Perry Is Ill - Updated

Shit what else do they want to throw at me? I'm still struggling myself and now I have Steve ill, Perry ill and of course the other things that are not going smoothly here and giving me heartache . One thing is for sure I doubt I could have ever been a nurse .. Vet Nurse? Well yeah maybe ..lol
Tomorrow I have a Caernarfon C.S meeting, unless Steve makes it out of bed I really can't see I will be going. Mind you I don't really care ... Thursday is dog club ... I'm on the rota for taking the money, making tea and cleaning. I guess there's 48 hrs till then so hopefully things will be better.
Perry has not been sick and to my knowledge has not had diarrhea. He is just asleep in his bed and obviously looks very sorry for himself. I'll see what tomorrow brings ... for all of us!

5/2/20 - We've literally had to dragged him out of the tunnel last night for a proper look. There seems to be an issue with his front paw. He's a big hunter and I'm wondering if been bitten by his large pray .. remember that rat? Yeuk! Anyway maybe he has an infection in his toe? I washed his paw in hibiscrub last night, which was no fun. This morning he has got up but he's limping, he ate a little but he's now back in bed ... vets at 11.10am

Short Shitty Walks

But sometimes needs must and we all got out ..

Late Night .. Early Morning

Sitting up with a cuppa and google. Sobbed my heart out, well these things do catch up with me don't they. No chance of sleep again tonight then. The diary is up to date .. I need a cuddle and some comforting words but the man who can is fast asleep .. maybe a knowledgeable explanation would help .. but no one has the answers .. not even the ones I thought would!
Feel free to message me at a sane time of day but care with comments here .. thank you.
A couple more photos from my walk .. just to lighten the mood ...

Ross Was On Fine Form

A lovely change and a walk for the terrible twosome along the river from Talysarn to Penygroes
With the river being close to the path I don't take the kong here, I just have this image of it floating off down river with Ross in hot pursuit
But if there's no kong he has to find an alternative!
That's half a tree mate .. the noises he makes as he gets so frustrated with it remind me so much of Blade in a similar dilema.
I swear I didn't put them like that, I just thought it would look good with them behind the branches, their way was clearly better
A narrow path and a big stick - it's just not going to work
Kaiah and I ran over the bridge for fear of him and his prized possession
On the lead as we get near the road ... He's not bringing it home!!!!

Out With Ania

A walk with Ross' bessie mate Ania in Gyrn Goch went so well.
Lots of fun and the place as beautiful as ever.

Sweet Potato?

Last night I was reading about the health benefits of adding vegetables to your dogs diet. It's always a little controversial for me as I was taught and always believed that adding to a "Complete meal diet" knocked the balance out, but without doubt there are benefits to adding some foods and supplements. Anyway an interesting quote from an article kind of helped easy my mind ..."Supplements are safe when kept within 10 percent of the daily diet. If he doesn't eat his entire day's food because he likes the supplements better, his diet becomes unbalanced." Well there is no way these will leave their meals, mostly they eat everything in the bowl.
I use to add cod liver oil to the food, but I've stopped, instead I buy 9 tins of sardines a week and 3 nights a week they get 3 tins between them. Not a lot I know but the cashier in Aldi must already thinks I'm nuts buying 9. I did start on the ones in oil about 6 months ago, but soon found some soft poos and changed to tomato sauce, thinking there was plenty of oil in the fish itself without the added sunflower oil, anyway everyone loves it.
I often cook extra potatoes for Asha's supper and 6 of the 8 have a carrot at bed time, but Loki and Nico are proper carnivores and will not eat any kind of veg. The others love broccoli too. I've recently started eating spinach .. lots of raw spinach, honestly I'm trying to have some at least once, but usually twice a day. It was recommended to me that I try it for my skin, a huge blast of it for a month and then gradually cut it back to a few times a week. I love it raw, not so keen on it cooked! Anyway, I'm thinking I may start chucking the odd bit in the dogs dinners, if it's considered so good for skin .. well why not skin and coat!
Last year we bought Sweet potato treats for the dogs at shows .. they seem to love the health sweet snack and last night I decided to have a go at making them. Bingo even Nico and Loki ate some. I'm not sure they were 100% convinced and Ross took his time too, but he did eat it,  as ever the girls loved them. So easy, cheap and health ... I'll be making more!
