Half Way There ...

Thank God. Ears are the first of my obsession ... ears then usually teeth. To have any chance in the show ring the dogs have to have both ears erect and a full and complete scissor bite. With a puppy of this age I get up every morning praying for erect ears, lol. No seriously I do! Loki's left ear has always been stronger, his right has never been up and that slightly concerns me. Of course I was aware of it, but after the seed was planted earlier this week now I'm ever more paranoid about it!
With Loki I have also come across another problem, one that is unfamiliar to me. He seems to have a "Winter Nose," or a similar problem. Steve may have laughed and mentioned boot polish, but this in my world is another serious problem. The whole purpose of getting Loki was to continue with my show line. With a brown or pink nose there is no future in the show ring! I've started him on seaweed and kelp but from what I've read success is questionable!

Sammi's Out With Loki

But was it a wise decision on my behalf? Hell I'm not sure!!!!
Sammi decided to take Loki to show him some of her favourite places .... there was ditch number one, ditch number two ... and yeah you've guess it ditch number three!!!!!!!

And then a quick break before heading home...

Last Group Walks ...

... For a week or two I fear.
Mikey is getting increasingly interested in Sammi and she's loving the attention.
I guess the fun starts now, but it'll soon over!

Work

My Lovely Friend Gail With Loki
Having read the blog I realise there is a little bit of writers licence going on there, maybe for the best? But if anyone want to know why I really left then please ask me, I will tell you. Somethings don't change, I have great respect for the founder and everything she has done. To phrase it simply, she's my friend and I love her to bits, but recent events made it impossible for me and many others to stay. With four of us gone and others heartbroken and desperate to leave, maybe, just maybe someone will see the light! (Sadly I fear maybe not!)

I Just Had To do It!!!

Last Post Of The Day

This time last year my beautiful Ziva was heavily pregnant
Look her now - as stunning as ever!

The Next Big Adventure

As ever Click on the photos to enlarge ...
I had a lovely meet up with Gail and super walk with Loki, under the supervision of Ziva, to Cwm Dulyn. He was great, he loved it and managed the bridge on the first attempt.

Dates

My Jamie
December is filled with memories, most of them of loss and sadness. But this is a day of wonderful memories, a day I don't forgot ... on this day in 2009 I first met a tiny tabby and white cat who was to become our Jamie! How we met has been well documented. Nothing changes he is a very special boy and this is a day of happy memories.
Loki and Sammi
Also this year, this is "officially" Loki's 3 month birthday. We all know he was born on the 31st of August, but for some reason the KC documents came back with a birth date of the 4th of September. His breeders contacted the KC who gave them the option of returning all the documents to change everything, or as it was only a few day out to leave it as it was .. they opted to leave it. So the official dates are slightly different to the actual dates. From now on I'll be using the "official" date for weights measures and photos .... Anyway, just think about it, a pup born on the 31st of August ... on what date is he 6 months old? When can he go to his first show?
Louis
December's sad dates will be documented, but at least 2 of these dates now pass with a smile as we remember the treasured memories that live on forever. The third date still haunts me ... I doubt I will ever really get over the loss of Louis. But a month that was mainly a sad difficult month for me is now a month of mixed emotions. On the 23rd last year my Naughty Angel was born, my baby girl, my pride and joy! Nothing could have brightened up a gloomy month anymore than the "I" litter did ... what a litter it was ... what a star my Sammi Belle is.... She is close to walking in "His" footsteps and that in itself is beyond belief and truly "Amazing!"

Disappointed

Well we live and learn! Looking back through post from earlier in the year I'm disappointed to find a lot of the photos have disappeared. I have figured out that these are photos that I used directly from Facebook. Won't be doing that again! May replace a lot of them .. but maybe too much like hard work to replace them all.
It's also with sadness that I have to report that Sammi's treasured monkey has been killed today. His poor face has been ripped apart ... bits of his brain seen here in this photo. I'm not sure if one is solely to blame, but this "One" definitely had a hand in it!

3 months - Well close enough!!

Loki having a go at standing at Parc Menai today.
I'll be honest I don't think he's looking as good as Sammi was at this age, but he's still very pleasing to the eye, and I love the way he moves.
As we were driving past the vets (well near as damn it) I decided to weigh Loki today and not bother going back into town on Thursday. He was 13.85kg and is 40cm at the wither. I didn't measure Sammi at this age, but she weighed 13.25kg. Considering Loki was a lot smaller at 8 weeks he's doing Ok, but I'd be happy to see him going further ahead now.

Look who we met at Parc Menai today ...
