I decided to ring the vet and told them the Siska saga. Luckily I got a familiar and friendly voice on the end of the line. They said as long as she is not ill then to just keep an eye on her and carry on as normal. They would not operate with the materials involved unless she was showing any signs of being unwell. Apparently it could sit in the intestine for a long time before passing.
