A Better Article on Pano

The article in the link above was sent to me by David who has Kaiah's dad. It contradicts the theory on reduced protein diets but actually it really makes a lot of sense. I think it's one of the best articles I've read for giving peace of mind and explains that each episode of lameness may last for a few days to a few weeks, and the period between episodes is often about a month, but may vary. It makes a lot of sense as Ross is Ok a lot of the time, has mainly had pain in his front legs, but his back legs have also occasionally been affected.
Like Malcolm Willis the writer suggests a genetic link, again this makes sense as Teddy, who's Ross' half brother has struggled with the condition. From conversations with Teddy's owner I gather he has either been in more pain than Ross or Ross is more stoic. We also know that Lia's father and sister had had the condition. So I would agree that there is at least a genetic connection.
Anyway a short walk and a swim this afternoon was well received. I guess I'll have to stick to that now whilst he's limping .. and as I said earlier I'll control the pain as best as I can with medication and let him walk and swim as it's the lesser of 2 evils, without the exercise he'll just wrestle and play chase with Kaiah.
We found a secret little spot, must have passes it hundreds of times
 .. pretty yeah
Happy Chap
I really want to find something for him to retrieve other than a bloody twig!
